It’s 3 PM on a Thursday, and you’re juggling priorities—tracking down a quote, coordinating a rush order, and keeping projects on schedule. It's the kind of day that keeps this industry moving, and at DWC, we know that behind every order number and PO is a real person working to serve their customers and keep their business growing.
We've all been there. And that's exactly why we're excited to introduce three new Account Managers who don't just understand your world. They've lived it.
Mason knows exactly what it's like to be waiting on that critical quote or order update. He spent four years at a distributor, starting in inside sales and working his way up to supervising the inside sales team.
"Those experiences gave me a good understanding of what our customers are looking for from the sales side," he says. "It gives me a bit of leverage because I’ve been in that seat and know how those roles work."
But it's not just about knowing the business. It's about solving one of the biggest frustrations he experienced firsthand. "This industry is very phone-driven, but people are often so busy with day-to-day tasks that they have to rely on email," he says. "I make it a point to respond right away—just a quick 'I got it' or 'I'm working on it' to let them know I’m here and they’re my priority."
What drew Mason to DWC? The culture he kept hearing about. "Once I heard about the culture I wanted to experience it for myself. And it’s definitely lived up to expectations!" he says. "It already feels like family and I've only been here a few weeks. It gets me excited to serve our partners, knowing I have the support behind me to succeed."
For Mason, it all comes down to one principle: "The customer is always first, and I’ll do everything in my power to keep it that way.”
Kaylee brings a practical, people-first approach to every interaction. Before joining DWC, she worked for electrical distributors where she learned firsthand how essential timely communication is.
"I understand how much urgency and responsiveness matter because I was in that position. I know what it means to reply quickly and deliver top-notch service so they can support their customers, too."
During that time, one recurring challenge stood out. "I found myself waiting all day for quotes with no updates heading my way," Kaylee recalls. "I want to change that and make sure the people I support are always in the loop."
But Kaylee's approach goes beyond follow-up. She believes the strongest partnerships come from genuine connection. “It’s about more than business. I want to get to know the people I work with—build trust, create lasting relationships, and show how much I care by going above and beyond.”
What drew her to DWC? "DWC is built on a solid foundation with a culture like nothing I’ve ever seen," she shares. "The attitude and effort that every person brings excites me for what’s happening and what’s to come."
Her competitive spirit fuels a constant drive to improve. "Being competitive is something I really enjoy. It pushes me to be better in many aspects of life." That same energy shapes how she shows up for our partners today.
Matt brings a depth of experience that's hard to find. With over 13 years in wire and cable sales for a manufacturer, he’s worked closely with distributors across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. That hands-on background gives him a clear view of what makes partnerships thrive.
"It gives me a unique perspective on how master distributors like DWC and manufacturers go to market," Matt explains. "I understand the nuances of both models and how they can best support our partners in ways that drive value and strengthen relationships."
What drew him to DWC was the opportunity to bring that experience to a company that truly prioritizes relationships. "What inspired me to join DWC was the opportunity to deliver top-tier customer service while forging new connections across the Southeast," he shares.
For Matt, trust is built on consistency: "Clear, concise communication and consistency are key. To me, that means doing what you say you’re going to do and doing it well, over and over again."
That same mindset guides his work every day. "The industry is always evolving, but challenges like pricing, lead times, and delivery remain constant,” he says. “I focus on being upfront and honest about the solutions I can offer. No one wants their time wasted—so being direct, responsive, and solution-oriented helps build credibility and gets results."
His approach is rooted in values learned early. "I played college baseball, which taught me a lot about discipline and teamwork,” he shares. “I also come from a military family—my dad served in the U.S. Air Force, and I lived on an Air Force base around B-52 bombers. That background instilled in me a strong sense of commitment and respect, which I carry into my professional life."
