Recently, Distributor Wire & Cable (DWC) teamed up with Young’s Motorsports to sponsor the #42 Leland Honeyman Jr. car for the Andy's Frozen Custard 300 Xfinity Series Race at Texas Motor Speedway. DWC has a long-standing tradition of speed when it comes to responding to the needs of specialty wire & cable customers. Because of this, embarking on a NASCAR sponsorship felt like a great fit!

The partnership between DWC and the #42 Leland Honeywell Jr. car signifies a shared commitment to performance. Both entities are driven by a passion for pushing boundaries and achieving success, making them a natural fit on the racetrack. Leland Honeyman Jr., a rookie in the Xfinity series, is the youngest driver on the circuit. At just 19 years old, he’s one of the bright stars rising through the NASCAR ranks.

“It was an incredible honor to be partner with Distributor Wire and Cable for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300. DWC’s commitment to excellence and innovation resonates deeply with my own values on and off the track,” stated Honeyman.

As anticipation was building for the race, fans were eager to see the iconic #42 car adorned with the DWC brand, putting in laps with speed and precision. For Distributor Wire & Cable, this sponsorship represented more than just putting the company's name on a car; it about supporting the spirit of competition and fostering engagement with the electrical distribution community.

“DWC is extremely excited to be a part of the NASCAR community. There are so many great sponsors in this area, and it is a great source of pride to be able to support Leland Honeyman and Young’s Motorsports,” stated Travis Williams, DWC’s CEO. “It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid growing up in North Carolina to see a car decked out with the company I am serving to be on the track. Best of luck to Leland, and the #42 team!” he added.

As the race weekend drew to a close, there could only be one winner (Congrats to Sam Mayer in the #1 Chevy). Our guy Leland Honeyman held his own, finishing in the same position he started and picking up some valuable Xfinity Series points. It was a great day at Texas Motor Speedway, spending time with some outstanding industry partners, friends, and family. The Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 did not disappoint! At DWC, we will continue to follow Young's Motorsports and the #42 Leland Honeyman car as they ascend the NASCAR ranks.

Thanks again to all the DWC customers and race fans who reached out to us with their support! It was great to make so many connections with folks through this NASCAR partnership.
