Distributor Wire & Cable (DWC) appoints new Cable Distribution Center (CDC) Manager at Seattle location.
Even in the current economic climate, bringing in quality individuals to support our customers remains crucial. In keeping with this, DWC is excited to introduce the newest member of our Operations team, Kniko Hart. Hart will serve as the CDC Manager of our Seattle location.
Kniko started his career in South Florida, as a member of a warehouse team for a freight forwarding company handling data entry for shipping labels. During his five years with the company, he received multiple promotions and gained valuable experience performing several roles with increasing responsibilities. Along the way, Kinko developed comprehensive warehouse operations skills, including shipping, receiving, safety requirements, claim procedures, and inventory management.
Now as an assistant manager, Kniko was ready for more responsibilities, but the prospects for continued growth in his role were limited. He decided to look for a new opportunity and found one over 3,000 miles away in Seattle, WA. Hart accepted a new position as an assistant warehouse manager for a major clothing company. Here, he expanded his experience, learning modern warehouse management systems, and taking advantage of new training processes.
After only working there for a few months, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to make the difficult decision to close its Seattle location. Kniko led the company’s operational efforts to ship all remaining inventory to their warehouse located in Chicago. Once all the inventory was shipped, he again found himself on a new search for the next phase of his career in warehouse management. While looking for open positions, he came across the job posting for CDC Manager at DWC in Seattle.
“When I learned more about DWC, I applied right away. I’m the type of person that doesn’t settle and wants the very best, and I can tell DWC has that same frame of mind,” said Hart.
We are ecstatic to add Kniko to our team of talented CDC Managers. He is looking forward to learning more about the electrical industry and applying his skills to our Seattle location. When Kniko isn’t at work, he is attending school for supply chain management to further his career. On top of this, he spends his free time learning how to code. He is new to the Seattle area and looks forward to exploring what the city has to offer.
If you pick up a will call order at our Seattle location, or talk to him on the phone, be sure to join us in welcoming Kniko Hart to the electrical industry! 888.439.2947
