Happy Logistics Appreciation Week!

By Ted Jolly

One of my personal takeaways from this COVID-19 experience is how much of a vital role Logistics teams play in everyone’s daily lives. Without the operations, warehouse, and transit folks that serve each and every link in the supply chain, commerce as we know it would stop. Without our own Logistics teams here at Distributor Wire & Cable (DWC), our company couldn’t operate and our essential business would grind to a halt.

While each individual department plays a role in a company’s success, one particular group has gone above and beyond the call of duty during the COVID-19 crisis. As many people like myself have been riding this thing out, safely distanced in our remote work locations, Logistics teams all over the world have been reporting for work, day in, and day out. Even with all of the precautions, safety procedures, and endless sanitizing efforts, the men and women who transport goods, operate warehouses, and run distribution centers are out there taking risks with each incoming shipment and outgoing order.

Time to say THANKS!

Here at DWC, we’re deeming the week of May 11 – 15: LOGISTICS APPRECIATION WEEK.

We’ll be taking the time to recognize the hard work of our logistics crews and thank them for everything that they’ve been doing during these challenging times. Without giving away any surprises, we’ll be trying to make the week extra special for our Logistics folks while sharing the appreciation that we all feel for them.

How you can help us.

Please thank your own Logistics teams on our behalf. We’re thankful for everything that they do! Without them, the shipments of specialty wire & cable that we send to you wouldn’t make it past your loading dock. Let’s all take the time to recognize the hard work that goes into shipping, transporting, and receiving the electrical goods that help connect and energize us all! We invite you to hold your own Logistics Appreciation Week by planning some fun events, centered around making your warehouse teams feel appreciated.
