Distributor Wire & Cable creates a new way for their wholesale partners to take advantage of their great products and services with the launching of their proprietary DART system. DART, or the Distributor Access & Resource Terminal, gives each customer their own online area to tap into many helpful tools and resources offered by DWC.
A few features offered inside DART are the ability to track orders in real time, find freight charges for past orders, review quotes, find technical data, up-to-the-minute copper graphs and even the option to live chat directly with sales agents. DWC’s seasonal football and basketball contests will also be managed inside the new DART system.“Creating DART was a long process, and it took a lot of hard work by many people, but we are really excited to offer it as a free tool to our customer. It is undoubtedly another step towards our mission of pioneering better ways to buy and sell specialty wire and cable through distribution,” remarked Sheila Gentile, Operations Manager at DWC.In addition, DART has an optional reward terminal which provides DWC’s customers with reward points for their business. These reward points can be redeemed inside DART for various prizes as well as donated to their favorite charity.“The reward system is a way for us to say thank you to our customers for their ongoing business. We realize none of this is possible without their support so it is nice to be able to give back to them regardless of the size of their order,” mentioned Maggie Workman, DWC inside sales agent.DWC plans on expanding DART later this year with additional features including providing online invoices, real time quote forms and social networking tools.
