Staffing up to serve you better!
Distributor Wire & Cable (DWC) is happy to announce that Brandt Rocha has been tapped to serve as the new CDC Manager at our Kansas City Cable Distribution Center. Brandt joined DWC in 2019, working in a leadership capacity at two smaller distribution centers within the company. In KC, Rocha will be tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of DWC’s 100,000 sf central warehouse facility.
Originally from California, Brandt has always been involved in warehouse operations. He began his logistics career back in 2001, working for his family’s business, Modesto Dairy Supply. “We built and maintained dairy farms all over the world,” explains Brandt. “I had a variety of duties including serving customers as an Installation and Maintenance Technician. I also spent a ton of time in our warehouse, learning the ins and outs of logistics. I picked up skills that I still use to this day,” he adds.
In 2009, Brandt moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. While attending college, he met his wife, Lindsey, during his very first semester. Two years into his time at ASU, Brandt left school in pursuit of work, eventually helping his Father’s dairy supply business expand into the Arizona market. When his family ultimately decided to take the business in a different direction, Rocha and his wife decided to move to Seattle. Just a year later, Lindsey’s job moved them back to Arizona, where Brandt finished his degree and ultimately joined DWC. Brandt operated DWC’s Phoenix CDC location and coincidently, he found himself back in the Pacific Northwest for a short time, helping with operations at DWCs Seattle distribution center. Needless to say, the Rocha’s are happy to be putting down some long-term roots in Kansas City!
When Brandt’s not running a tight ship at work, he can be found working out and spending time with his family and their three dogs. He and his wife also enjoy traveling in the U.S. and abroad. Among their favorite trips are London and Paris. Brandt is one of the most positive people that you’ll ever meet and a man who knows what he wants. An example of this is the fact that he bought an engagement ring for his wife the first month they were together!
Rocha’s vison for DWC’s central distribution center in KC is to establish a process-driven approach to making operations function flawlessly. Brandt envisions a team of complementary players who can all operate cross-functionally, with each person being able to perform any role. He also wants to maintain DWC’s Family-oriented culture. “I want this team to truly be a Family and have each other’s backs – in and out of the office,” says Brandt. “If we’re a solid team and everyone looks out for each other, it’s amazing at what can be accomplished on behalf of our customers!”
