Distributor Wire’s two most popular contests wrapped up in late December with exciting finishes for their wholesale partners.
“Our distributors really enjoy competing against each other in both the Distributor Diary and DWC NFL Challenge,” remarked Matt Stumphf who is in outside sales at DWC. “We had hundreds of participants from more than 30 different states making things especially competitive this year.”
In the Distributor Diary contest customers submit photos inside their DART account throughout the year that include the DWC logo in them. In December, ten finalists are selected and all the customers are able to vote once a day throughout the month to help decide the winners.
The top three finishers this year in the annual Diary contest were Nick Hubel at CED in Denver who found a unique way to highlight the DWC logo, Noel Escobar at Graybar in Portland whose baby girl was caught wearing a DWC beanie and a tie for third place between Craig Ochletree with his group photo of the CED/Culver Hahn gang in Mason City , IA sporting the DWC camo hats and Laurie Orzel from CED in Farmington, NM with her pup wagging her tongue for the camera. Photos of the winners, plus other memorable pics from 2012, are below.
The DWC NFL Challenge allows customers to make weekly picks on NFL games tracking the leaders in real time throughout the NFL regular season. This year came down to the final week once again to determine the grand prize winners.
Taking top honors this year was Eric Tippery from Kriz Davis in Fremont, NE, 2nd Place went to James Hernandez from CED/Triangle in El Paso, TX and 3rd Place to Dave Delaittre from Werner Electric in Cottage Grove, MN. DWC also awarded a last place grand prize to the biggest loser. Scott Griggs at Rexel in Denver, CO took home this award.
“Each year our contests get bigger and more fun thanks to the support of our distribution family. We always look forward to seeing the great photos and crowning the football gurus each year,” commented Kyle McBride inside sales agent at DWC.
